Gurgaon police rescued two kidnapped students

The Gurgaon police on Friday claimed to have rescued two kidnapped students along with the hijacked vehicle within just 12 hours. Two out of four accused have been arrested.

This was disclosed by a police spokesman. He said that two students,aged 12-13 years, both brothers were kidnapped on Thursday morning at around 7.15 AM from sector 14 of Gurgaon when their family driver went to drop them at a bus queue shelter in their Toyota Innova.

The abductors were youth aged 20-25 years. He told that the police swung into action after it was informed at around 8.15 AM about the incident. The abductors Sachin Rathee of sector 3 Rohtak, Bittoo alias Shiv Kumar of village Kanhaili, district Rohtak alongwith their accomplishes Sunil alias Monte and Anil from Bethia district of Bihar demanded a ransom of Rs 5 Crore from the parents of the students in leiu of their release. The students are residents of sector 14 Gurgaon.

With the persistent day long efforts of the Gurgaon police and help of Jhajjar and Rohtak police, it succeeded in locating the abductors in the evening. According to spokesman , the abductors kept the students as captive at village Kanhaili in district Rohtak. Sensing police cordon, the abductors fled away leaving the abducted students at village Kanhaili, when they were trying to shift the students at some other place at around 9 PM. The police succeeded in recovering both the abducted students along with their Innova car.

He said that the police have arrested Sachin Rathee and Bittoo alias Shiv Kumar during morning today. A knife and country made pistol were recovered from the abductors. Their accomplish Sunil alias Monte and Anil, hailing from Bihar, were still absconding but the Gurgaon police have identified them and efforts were being made to nab them.

He said that both the students are safe., He said that the mother of both the students is working in a company in Gurgaon while their father is a businessman. One of the abductors Bittoo was a field functionary in that company and Sachin Rathee used to often visit the company. Lured by the excellent lifestyle of the family, the abductors planned to kidnap their children for ransom.

He told that the criminal record of Sachin and Bittoo was being investigated. Sachin Rathee is a graduate and unemployed. Deswal suspected that the master mind behind the incident seem to be some fifth person, who may be from Bihar, but the fact would be established only after interrogation of the accused.
